Fall Conference 2006

Pennie was a key note speker at the Fall Leadership Counsil 2006 in Chicago.

In October 2004, Pennie decided she had had enough of corporate America. She was a project manager for 15 years and was tired of upper management and the 'glass ceiling' that was holding her back.

With the economic turn after 9/11, companies, including the one that she had worked with for 5 years, started laying off individuals. Employment was getting harder and harder to secure and even those with jobs had no real job security. You could be let go at anytime for no particular reason.

At this same time, her family grew with their second daughter. She decided then that things had to change. Putting her children in daycare from 6:30AM to 6:30PM just wasn't an option. "Family time should be more than just 30 minutes in the morning and an hour at night filled with dinner, homework and bath time." (Pennie Berk) And that's when she found AmeriPlan®.

In fact, the last company I worked with had terminated their dental benefits and reduced their medical benefits drastically the year before. Pennie moved up to the highest level of management in just 12 months and raised her repeat residual income to $25K per year. At twenty-five months in the business, that income rose to $175K per year and continues to grow. At just 4.5 years in the business, she became a National Vice President.
